Body-Based Input for Large Display Surfaces

This is a completed project.

Description

In this project we are developing body-based input techniques for large display surfaces (plasma screens, wall and floor-pointed projectors, and privacy glass). We are using the Microsoft Kinect to develop several walk-up-and-use applications for installation in the SaskTel Innovation Station at Mount Royal Collegiate in Saskatoon. The applications include collaborative games, sketching tools, and art pieces; all are designed to be noticeable by people walking past the displays, and usable with only body gestures.
